Yes Definately!!! Of course there are the ones that break the mould and are upstanding citizens. One of the first things I noticed when I came to the UK was how rude and intimidating teenagers here are. Why are they out with friends on week nights shouldnt they be at home having family time so they can be learning family values???

Although I have no current knowledge of kids from other countries, I do work at a college and have never met such insolent, arrogant, obnoxious kids with no regard for age, position at college or wisdom. They are insolent, destructive, throw rubbish all over the place, spit and sh*t (yes sh*t) in the most unimmaginable places, the list goes on and on and on, but then again Mummies and Daddies would only say "it can't be may child, they are an angel". A couple of hours doing my job would soon open their eyes. So, sadly for this once great country, I would have to agree.

Yes they are because they are not taught to value themselves or the people around them! They spend less time with their families so they have no role models (as such)! They emanate the idiot pop stars who are awful role models! Parents can't be bothered with their kids - they are over indulged instead of being loved physically (with hugs) their love is bought (ie the latest gadget etc!).

I lived in Brussels for a year in the early 90s and the kids are totally different!

This crumby government wants "to stick an elastoplast to a wound that needs stitches"! They come up with stupid solutions instead of getting to the heart of the matter!

British teenagers are a disgrace. We NEED to have National Service for all 18 year olds. 1 year of discipline and they would be fine. Instead they spend one more year wearing tracksuit trousers, zapping aliens and gobbing on the carpet. Why do middle class white teenagers all speak with a Jamaican accent these days?

Yes.
In France I have never seen a drunk French Teenager in the street. Kids sit around a table with their family for a meal.
You see kids of 4 years old sitting with the family for hours in a restaurant having a meal. They are well behaved and well mannered.

Yes but thats because the parents are youngest in Europe too. So they dont care or think its k for kids to be on the streets so they dont have to have them in the house. I personally cant stand the teenagers on the streets most of the time because they hang out in big groups like packs of hyenas. But whe you actually talk to them one on one they are relativley similar to how most of us were when we were tennagers, just a bit less respectful. I beive national service really would be a very good thing for 16yr olds today, boys and girls. It would sort out the lack of respect.

Then which kids are the best? Personally i think it depends on the quantity surveyed. I don't think so or atleast mine are good. One's gotta travel and see what the others are like. However if it's statistical official then it applies to the parents too coz theirs is the parenting role.

Don't believe in statistics they always turn out to be wrong
how can they go out and find these supposed kids in all the mentioned country's? It`s just some one in an office spouting of for the big money he`s been given to dream this up.

I have been involved in some research with young people in North Belfast and have found that the statistics of youth crime are in fact greatly distorted. Over 80% of police call-outs are for Youths Causing Annoyance (YCA). In the vast majority of cases, this means "youths in street" or "these young people frighten me". Local projects have involved introducing young people to their older neighbours.(raffles for I-pods were used as inducements). The levels of intimidation and related complaints dropped very significantly.
Our youth clubs are rubbish, older people carry negative stereotypes of young people, supermarket drink and street drugs are freely available (from adults!!). We do have problems but it is verging on nazism to label our young people as criminal. Perhaps this is just a British trait. The same thing has happened to black people, Muslims, Jews, Irish , Travellers etc. The Brits just love to have someone to scapegoat for their archaic approach to society.
