would be quite amusing to see the presenters showing items that have come and gone since then,

i think that would be a great idea ive seen a couple of short clips from it and its very amusing

did you know that one day most households will have an electric appliance that cooks food in a fraction of the time?

and how about the report on mobile phones LOL

I'd love to see that, especially if they set the date as in on the 12 of August 2007, they play the tomorrow's world from, say 12 of august 1977. that would be hilarious to see the odd inventions we're supposed to be using today!

I think it would be great to look back and see what we thought were new inventions. I wonder how many of the items actually "made it" in the real world. I can't imagine it was many

What an excellent idea. For every CD player they showed becoming successful they could show an SVHS video (which was superior to VHS but they held on to the idea too long and it got superceded by DVD-Rs).

Yeah because then we would be able to see if any of that stuff got used or just dumped on the inventors scrap heap

Yeah, wouldnt mind seeing that. Just to see what caught on and what didnt and to see if they made any acurate predictions.
