Kerry was on that congress that voted for the Iraqi War. In fact, many Democrats voted for the war given the same information that was presented to President Bush. So don't act like it is Bush's fault alone. Bush can want war all he wants, but without the vote of Congress there would be no war.

At the time the decision was made, I thought, at the most, we'd be out of Iraq by June '03. The thing that pisses me off is we're still there trying to help these people gain democracy. I believe if you've never tasted it and the people trying to "show your country the way" can't speak your language you're fighting a lost cause. But, I can see why Bush's back is "up against the wall". He got Sadam out of power which helped those who wanted to get rid of him and there still is no evidence that there were ever devices that could cause harm hidden or otherwise. If he pulls our troops out now, with democracy not fully complete, I think he feels that some of the American people will feel that he didn't do enough. It's a case of d**** if you do, and d**** if you don't. Ahhh, politics.

When Congress sent our military to war they believed they had good evidence about Iraq. As for Kerry. He said a horrible thing and made it worst by not apologizing till last night. Those who have join the military knew there was a chance of war. Many join after 9/11. They knew it was going to happen. Kerry was extremely disrespectful to those military men and women including their family. My cousin who is in Iraq right know joined knowing he was going to war.

there was plenty of good reason, and the evidence to prove it, for us to go to war. god, i am sick to death of you whiny wusses complaining about this war. it is a necessary and good thing. every soldier fighting knew when he or she enlisted that they could very well be called upon to fight. so some of them didn't expect it. oh well. they still knew the chance was there. so did all their spouses and families, even the ones who were moaning about how rough it is to have a family member deployed {ie cindy sheehan and her ilk}. i'll bet they weren't whining when they were getting that reservist check every month and having their healthcare costs covered. i like how you all just pick out bits and pieces of the available information, then act as if those pieces are the whole story. quit posting idiotic comments without any basis. just because you would stand there peeing yourself if you had to fight for this country doesn't mean our troops need you to gripe for them about how they shouldn't be there. they should be there. i know it. they know it. so do most people. except you people. so keep your traps shut until you have something at least halfway intelligent to say.

by the way, they did find massive stores of chemical weapons, not long ago...

America needed a strong response to 9-11.

Did we make the right call? I don't know.

And neither do you.

When will dems show us what they got?

Oh, that's right, Kerry just did!

Ok, I guess pictures of WMD's isn't evidence

have you ever done your research on Wars? Most of the time, the real reason for going to war is not disclosed until after most of the people from the time era are dead, or stuff that happens. japanese torture camps were just disclosed in 1999 for WW2

Ha!

Boy is that a good one. True. Why aren't they all outraged that their beloved troops are fighting a second, meaningless Vietnam?
