well u have to break it down into verbal and non verbal communication. but overall effective communication can enable people to fufil their full potential (care value base) people need to know that they are being listened to. so listening skills are vital in care settings. people feel valued when they are listened to. non verbal communication can help us to send messages to people. for example people who are deaf take alot of messages from our body language and eye contact. someone with little eye contact can be seen as shy because they are not confident enough to look people in the eyes. the way we sit and proximity is also alot to do with it. communication can empower people and make people feel depressed depending on whether it is positive or negative communication. need n e more help e mail me on joeyanna1232002@yahoo.co.uk. did health and social care u see lol
