both regular brick and fireplace brick
mortar
concrete mix
2 2X4s and cuttin tools
other grill accessories

Clear and area out on the ground. remove the sod and build a form for a concrete base. mix and pour the concrete and allow to set. remove form and begin stacking your bricks in an interlocking pattern using the mortar mixed according to the package directions...on the inside where the fire will go, use the fireplace bricks...its all a matter of how you want it layed out. To make it fancier, you could leave a groove in the brick for the grill surface and build a backsplash etc...

Not much really apart from the obvious, bricks and mortar. You can buy BBQ kits that have the tray and all the metal bits included. All you then do, is find a nice solid ground spot and build up your BBQ with nice coloured bricks of your choice and mortar. Its really quite simple. Just make sure your neighbours done see you or they'll be round each time!!!

Bricks!

oh and mortar (if you want to make it permanent)

Arrange the bricks in the shape of a BBQ, put a hole it in for the charcoal and you will need a metal grill to put the meat on.

start with a foundation (bags of quickcreet will work) dig the space out level where you want to build it , then pour the foundation, then mix your morter and start laying the bricks. Start with a line to keep them straight and you need a level put morter in between the brick. if you can find a do it yourself book it will give plenty of details
