may be i can interpret your question this way.. why do chickens in the course of evolution formed in the way that they lay eggs, and in the same way why do humans give birth..

in this case i can suggest you to think about the different modes of multiplications. chickens opted to go for the egg mode, which they found reliable and fit for survival. as evolution proceeded humans were formed and they were fit with the baby mode of multiplication.

Humans don't lay eggs because they're mammals. Mammals almost always (there is one exception) give birth to live young.

Other animals, lay eggs. Chickens aren't mammals.. so they don't give birth to live young, they lay eggs.

Because humans are mammals and have live children. Humans do have eggs, but they stay inside the mother's uterus.
