Although there is no concrete proof that aliens exist, it is statistically a virtual certainty that they do exist. Just think, our galaxy contains somewhere in the region of 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) stars, any one of which could have a planet or system of planets orbiting them. And ours is a medium sized galaxy, which is only one of countless billions of other galaxies in the Universe. So even considering the extremely slim possibility that *just* the right conditions for life might exist on a planet, there is still a huge number of planets cabable of sustaining life. Do they actually contain life? We might never know that one.
Have aliens actually visited our planet? I'd say probably not. Although there is a mass of evidence to the contrary most of this is explained away by perfectly terrestrial means. Add to this the fact that without some extremely advanced technology (and an equally advanced understanding of the laws of physics), visiting our planet would be next to impossible. Light - which nothing can actually travel faster than, at least according to our knowledge of the Universe - takes over FOUR YEARS to travel to us. To travel from the other side of the galaxy would take thousands of years, and from the very edge of the known Universe it light takes FIFTEEN BILLION YEARS to reach us. Unless any alien life has the ability to travel at the equivalent of superluminal speeds, or has found an alternate way of travel, or just has a lot of patience, we are unlikely to ever be visited by extra-terrestrials.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.
Why haven't we heard from them?
Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.
Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.
Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.
Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.
Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.
It is really impossible to know for sure.
The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

To me, the single most compelling piece of evidence that highly advanced aliens exist and know about us is simply this:
They have stayed as far away from us as they possibly can.
I'm hoping they are just waiting for us to "grow up" enough to be safe to contact.

No. There is much speculation, there used to be a lot of hype about Roswell, and then there were the sightings. There are those who say they were abducted. But no proof.
That is the problem with all we have heard about. A lot of information is dispensed, but not enough proof yet.
Do I believe they exist. Yes.
Have they visited our planet. Yes.
Why haven't we had a "Close Encounter?
We might not be ready.

Ofiicially - no, there is nobody who could show you hard evidence of alien life form.
However, there may be things that we the public do not know about although I think this is unlikely and things like Area 52, Roswell etxc are all fabrications of the media.
Is a shame - would be good to know that we are not all alone in the universe.........

I'm not sure but the politicians may be evidence because how some of these people get votes baffles me. Must be some type of alien mind control.

If you looked at my mates mum you would know that Alien's do exist on this planet. She scares the s**t out of me....
Looks like a cross between a ferrit and a Weizel but not from this planet.

Yes. Ask anybody who is thoroughly convinced, and they will tell you there is. Ask anybody else and, of course, the answer is No!
If you are asking for evidence that you will find irrefutable, then I can't help you because, not knowing you from Adam, I can't judge the sort or style of evidence you would require...

There is NO evidence, unless you take the word of various Springer-show types. Most of whom have been abducted several times, mostly for sexual purposes.
