Get some tapes for music, have guests bring something to eat (tell them what you'd like so not everyone brings the same thing), instead of gifts. Read the Christmas story from the Bible, and play some games.

why not host a White Elephant /Pot Luck party :)
Basically everyone brings a gift that is wrapped - when they get to the party all the gifts are placed on one table and everyone gets a number - the person w/ #1 get to choose a gift off the table then then next person #2 gets to either take the gift from the first person or one from the table, and so on until all the gifts are taken/given - this is fun we have done it before :)
Also Pot Luck everyone brings in a dish to share - whether it be entree, dessert - then all you would need to supply would be paper plates and silverware and drinks :)

Buy balloons to decorate your home and play blowing balloons game. Collect some forms from the factory or bookshop and string it up for your home deco.
Play Christmas music, and setup a Pot-Luck party.

Get a portable dvd player get your guest to bring some fav christmas music and their fav food dish. Wah lah you have a party. Good luck and god bless.
