And how many of you don't have a clue what I mean. I would also like to find out.
Thankyou.

Our world is based on money. It is an arbitrary system. Money is paper.
Paper has no value. Our society is based on something that has no value.
People have a choice to make. Do you live your life based on a system
that has no value or do you live your life in such a way as to give value to
it. You can spend time with children. They are not fake. You can spend
time with nature. It is not fake. You can find true friends who are not fake.
The unfortunate thing is that now that you have seen the illusion there is
no going back. Have you ever read Brave New World. Do.

Sounds like you have been reading Jean Baudrillards Simulacra and Simulations, the premise for which movies like The Matrix were based on. Perhaps everything is fake, nothing is real, everything is a simulation of reality, but so what if it is. The simulation is pretty darn real so enjoy the ride.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. The world, particularly the United States is completely "plastic". It is truly all about money. My advice (which I practice myself, daily) is to just live, and love and allow yourself to be loved. Be well always. The government is only interested in ruling the rest of the world. We are truly powerless against it, but whatever. Life will go on.

i've seen a couple questions here before on this. also, in college a friend of a friend mentioned feeling this way. but, i myself have not even come close to having this feeling.

i guess a solution is: the universe is governed by laws that never change. so whether you believe them to be real or not, really doesn't matter. you, and everything else, are subject to those laws.

Pray for a teacher. read "The impersonal life" author anonymous,(joseph brenner). See on net swami muktananda paramahamsa Choose your own path. The universe is but a very, very sophisticated holographic presentation of Gods vision of himself. All sense of self separate from God is an illusion.

It kinda goes along with 'everything is a dream'. That is, if I do know what you're talking about.
You can take it even farther and wonder if you even really exist.
Nothing is here that mankind didn't think of first. You could look at existence as a product of collective consciousness.
