This makes no sense. Ethernet cords cannot plug into USB slots...so I am not sure where you are going with this. You can either use Ethernet or USB to connect your hardware and internet. Some computers (older ones) have ethernet from the modem and then it converts into an ethernet. Its like a hybrid cord. Ethernet is much faster either way so that is your best bet.
