On a number of occasions, I have been in a dream that was so illogical that I figured out that I was dreaming and "woke up." However, I later realized that I has only dreamed I was waking up and I was really still asleep. This is really confusing when you wake up again! But the stuff in the dream never occurred. In fact, just about all the dreams I remember could not possibly happen.

There has actually been some work done on the accuracy of dream predictions. It had to do with the accuracy of dream books at predicting numbers winners in New York. The results turned out to be no better than random. I suspect this would be the same way.
