A customer was totally buffaloes as to what was required for a passport.
I explained the form, pointing out what was needed. They had no birth certificate and were born out of state, so I gave the number to that state's department of public health records, advising that rhe time frame for getting that varied from state to state.
i gave options on where to get the picture taken for less than we charged and other locations to submit the application if we were not time convenient for them.
Finally I gave them a couple of numbers to call, should they have additional questions that they couldn;t think of at the moment.

Well I was working as a screener for the TSA at Los Angeles International Airport, when this woman came back after we screened her bag and she said that she only had about 50 minutes to catch her international flight and her suitcase was overweight and she didn't have any money to buy another piece of luggage. Since the woman was afraid to miss her flight and she needed all of her things on her trip, I went over and asked the cleaning lady if she had a spare box that I could have. After I got the box I repacked some of her items into the box and I screened it myself so she wouldn't miss her flight. The woman was happy since she now had two pieces of luggage that met the weight requirement.

When I worked in Las Vegas a lady came to my window and was frantic because she was short of money and could not get back to her hotel. I showed her a way to get money on a credit card and since she was almost in tears she was very happy with me. The lady wanted to tip me $20 but I told her to keep her money. My boss received a complimentary letter about my customer service skills about a month later.

I was doing a wine presentation at an Italian joint I use to work at and the couple were listening and their dumb 4 or 5 y/o kid kept babbling about some chocolate milk and I told the kid to "shut the ^^^^ up" .... kinda whispered it to him and both parents noticed ... the mom got really upset and the dad laughed at it ... still got a $20 tip on like a $50 tab

In my last job, I remember a customer asking me for advice on timber. I'm not a joiner or anythiung, so I found him someone who could help him. Once he was given advice & made his purchase, I helped him out to his car with his timber. Now that's service!
