Try and keep it at work.
If not use the old self defence mechanism, only do something if your work friends are doing it i.e only go out on the mid week lash if they do.
Their was an unwritten rule in my company, no one grassed each other up as we all had enough dirt on each other.

Tell them you're there to work and you make it a point never to get involved in other's personal business. If people spent as much time working as they did talking and airing things, they wouldn't have spare time on their hands in the work place.

Well here goes what I think- at work see your friend as a co-worker, after working hours see him as a friend.
