Yes. A 'best enemy' to me is someone I dissagree with on an issue, but am able to remain civil and even freindly with them despite us being on opposite sides of the fence. I think that in History time has shown this to be the case. In the US Civil War. Gen. Armstead and Gen. Hancock were enemies AND close friends.

I have seen relationships like this in gaming environments. They probabley exist in real life also, just harder to see.
