THEY ARE GOOD FOR SMALL PLACES LIKE CLOSET OR SMALL BATHROOM, BE CARE FULL NOT TO SPILL THE LIQUID WHEN THE CRYSTALS ARE DISSOLVE. YOU CAN'T RE-USED THEM BECAUSE THEY DISINTEGRATED. FOR BIGGER PLACES OR IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF HUMIDITY USE THE ELECTRIC DEHUMIDIFIER.

Dehumidifier Crystals Homebase

They are only any good for very small enclosed spaces. They don't absorb very much water when compared to that removed by an electric dehumidifier. The crystals (calcium chloride) can be remade by drying out the liquid in an oven in a dish with a large area. I gave up using them and got a proper dehumidifier.

I have problems with condensation in my flat. I bought one of them to try (small one from Homebase) which did absorb water but didn't stop the condensation. I think they're useful for very small places but in a normal room they aren't effective. I've ended up investing in a plug-in dehumidifier from B&Q for £50 that can reduce the moisture in the air for up to a 3-bedroomed property. It's in the hall and has drastically reduced the condensation.

Put on a metal tray and bake at 225-250 deg for a long time. There should be a color change when dry.

HI,

They are ok for on windowsills but they only deal with a little condensation, you cannot re-use them as the crystals desolve as they work but you can buy refills for the boxes.
