my "radio" became possessed and started playing a different station, something I, personally , would never listen to. What gives??? And why can't I fix it? It's very frustrating when you're listening to Alvin & the Chipmunks and then your radio goes to some screaming noise that just sounds...well, fingernails on a chalkboard would sound better to me. HELP????????? Oh, yeah, this is on Yahoo Messenger.

1st. it depends on your reciever and it's location. 2nd., is it AM, or FM. AM frequencies change with the time of day. At night the Ionasphere rises and enlongates the signal. This also happens in reverse as morning comes. AM signals are more affected by it than FM, however if your closer to the stations your listening to, the reception will be better during the daytime hours. As evening approaches and the magnetic layer called the ionasphere rises the wave lengths are like a triangle that's opening at the top and become broader. Thus the closer the station, the lower the signal strength in the dusk through dawn time. Picture an Isosolese triangle with it's apex up and the base down flat, gradually opening at the base going through equalaterall and on to obtuse angles in a few hours time. This would represent the radio waves travel length. Going from a small triangul to sweeping out to a very wide triangle to an almost flat line position during the time frame transition of evening to darkness, and vica versa from dark to day. Also, Am signals are greatly affected by several other things as well. As simple as a passing semi close to where you are and bouncing the radio wave away from you. Hope this help you.
