For some it is a question of gender dysphoria. There are many people - both male and female - that have distinct personality trait, quirks, characteristics, and mannerisms of the opposite sex. And some have desires of the opposite sex.
For many males their is an incredible satisfaction in the transformation process into femininity. Some go so far as to completely shave or wax all their body hair and this allows for a distinct feminine sensation before and while wearing female clothing.
The transformation process may continue with a pedicure including pretty polish. Having smooth, pretty feet with painted toes really adds to the feminine mystique. Then the sexy, strappy 5" heels look even sexier on those pretty, feminine feet. Plus, almost everyone appreciates pretty feet and toes - men and women - whether they have a foot fetish or not.
When your body is totally smooth and then you apply lotions and perfumes the aura of feminity really resounds. Follow that by slipping on a sexy, satin-n-lace thong and the girly appearance really progresses.
The thrill of transformation for many males is the application of makeup. Clearly, even Genuine Girls know the magic of makeup in transforming their own appearance. So, when a male begins changing 'her' face, eyes, and lips into feminine prettiness the heart begins to beat a bit faster and the satisfaction of the transformation builds.
The clothing often times is a bit more risque than normal for a crossdresser. Short skirts, high heels, frilly blouses... Or, a relatively conservative dress... Or, often a M2F crossdresser will adopt girl jeans (so sexy), a casual girl sweater/blouse, and casual heels.
The finishing touches are often the wig. Sometimes a M2F CD will go without a wig if 'she' is just enjoying the makeover and is dressed casually. A quick brush of the hair into a more fem style and they let the rest of the transformation do the talking. But, a lot of M2F CDs will adopt wonderful wigs to totally complete the transformation. With this final touch it is often very difficult for an accomplished CD to be recognized for who they are as male and often it is difficult to distinguish - for sure - that they are not female.
Earrings, necklaces, and press-on manicure nails really finish off the look.
Ahhh, the total illusion is created. The transformation has been exciting and enjoyable. But then the true test... going out to shop, dine, nightclubs, and whereever... and passing.
Why do men crossdress? The transformation into a beautiful and sexy female is an incredible aphrodisiac. Being able to and allowed to be in public as a girl is a thrill. Being thought of as sexy and appealing is bordering on the ultimate accomplishment. The ultimate accomplishment? Well, most CDs do not desire to 'deliver' satisfaction. But, there are many that have those desires to flirt, tease, AND please as a girl - but only when transformed. And delivering that pleasure is the ultimate success.

there are few different types of male crossdressesannd only a few female ones
-some guys crossdress because they are nt aloud to wear this things that girls wear so they like try try them on
-some do it for the feel of soft clothes as most male clothes are so stif and hard heavy etc
*-other do it to for excitement as they het off thining what they are doing is wrong
*-others do it be because the want to look like girls weather for a day or week even a year
*-others do it because they are female on the in side and feel the need to express it on the out side
*-others do it for fun like halloween and parties television carities etc
*- others do it for money like drag queens
if a man crossdresses you will find he will do it in secret
most x-dresses are straight but are sseen by the main stream as less of a man
but it dose take a lot of guts
to go out side of the safety of ones house
they often get flake for x-dressing
but in a way it is just clothes
they are not hurting any one
and seem to have fun while doing it

personally i do it because it feels great. i love the feel of soft silky clothes against my skin. although i do occasionally like to pleasure a man while dressed up i am mostly into women, so much so that i feel i want to emulate them. there is a calming and soothing feeling i get when i get all decked out in my finest ladies apparel.

Not all men do. Those who do do it out of pleasure. It's a fetish. Some men like women, and some like men. Some men like feet, and some like butts. Some like to dress like a woman.

well-- I know this older guy who cross dresses (but not publicly) and he said that he just loves women..... and that women are lucky because they can wear anything and be beautiful... they can change their hair and put on different make up and it's acceptable..... men are stuck. they only have pants and shirts and they have to have their hair a certain way or they're considered wierd. so-- I think that's why they do it-- to feel beautiful and unrestricted.

number one its fun to do. ive been a full time CD for 9 yrs now. in fact, i am going thru my "transition" into femdom. i am a pre op TS (Tgirl). so wearing female clothes is natural to me. i am more comfortable wearing a suit, blouse and heels than i ever was wearing a shirt and tie to work.

for the same reasons women do, they are unsure of their sexuality so they try to live in both world to avoid pain of dealing with the world that doesn't understand...
