Check with the TSA website for the liquids that are allowed in carry ons... 3 oz or less in a one quart plastic bag etc etc... http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/screening/index.shtm As to water, you can now carry on water that you have purchased in the secure boarding area -- enough for use on the immediate flight. Don't try to take any through the security check point.
