sorry for stating the obvious but a psychologist, but as to why people study psychology it is so they can help them and look at different approaches of the world

my uncle (a PhD in psychology) used to say it's usually people that have psychological issues themselves. these are people with a deep interest in the psyche and, through the study of psychology and others, can psychoanalyze themselves.

Just for the record - 3 of my friends are psychologists/ LSW and they are all on head drugs. ex paxil, prozac, etc.. So, to answer your question - MIXED UP PERSONS.
