Liquidy poop is very common for a 4 month old.
Don't worry about it at all unless it goes on for a few days and she is refusing to eat/take fluids.
Just be grateful she wasn't old enough to sit up and paint her bed and walls with it!

Most little ones digestive systems are not working like they should just yet. Anything, from formula to baby food to a stomach bug can cause it to get upset. Even beginning to cut teeth can cause the Hersey squirts.
As long as the child doesn't appear sick or in pain, plenty of clear liquids, the brat diet for a day and of course, call you doctor. Babies can dehydrate fairly fast so, watch the mucus membranes, the mouth, the inner part of the eyes, to make sure they are moist and shinny. Pedialyte is an excellent fluid replacement for babies.
Main thing is don't panic, follow these steps and call your MD when they open and all should be well.

Are you nursing? That makes "soup poop", sometimes.
Just give her a nice bath or take her in the shower with you. Love her up and keep her warm - not hot. Nurse her/offer her some formula and wait for the doc to open.
Don't worry.

get some dyralite (i think thats how you spell it) it is designed for babies and i think you can get it from your chemist keep her toped up with water and try to keep her feeds as normal as possible but she may not want it. if she refuses water try shaking some coke up so it is tottally flat and then give this to her thats all my little brother would drink when he was ill.
good luck and hope she gets better soon.

you need soap and water.......
and make sure your baby gets some liquids.... water, pedialite...... if they don't keep it down try only a teaspoon at a time....
remember when they have diareah.... BRAT Bananas, Rice, Applejuice, and Toast........ (maybe for an older baby)
