I think that once a woman reaches a 'certain' age, society tends to dismiss her as useless and on the scrap heap. Therefore, women of that age would rather they didn't get asked in case they get categorised.

many woman don't like to be asked about there age. some don't care if you ask. I am 58 and I feel young for my age. people think I am younger because I act younger.

I can't see why is it rude.

We the men are proud to say what age are we because our age reflect our accomplishments.

Women don't like talking about age because it's the enemy of their accomplishments, which are the various attempts to look stunning!

We the men love that...

Unless you are living someone else's life i.e you behave like a young star and yet you are old but as for me i'm proud to say i turned 30 years on 21st september this year and to tell the truth i act older than that but i look younger than that and thats a fact.

some women think it's rude esp those who look older than their actual age.. i personally answer honestly. im 33. yet many mistake me for 5 years younger. maybe that's why i am honest about it..

It has never bothered me. But some women get really testy about it. And don't even think to ask their weight.

No, not really.

I find they get far more offended when I ask them "Good God! What the hell have you been eating? You've put some weight on!"

I do have a tendancy to walk around a lot with sore nuts and black eyes though.

no i don't get embarrassed when asked my age but most women take a year or two off so I'm told lol

not rude more like invasion of privacy
i always use to lie bout my age so it wouldn't matter
but some do take offence i wouldnt ask if i were you
