of using application software

I believe you are asking for the difference between application software that you can purchase off the shelf (COTS) and custom/bespoke software that you need to engage a programmer to write. It is pretty similar to going to a shop and buying a readymade Shirt versus buying the cloth and engaging the tailor to take your measurements and stitch it.
+ COTS is usually much cheaper than custom software.
+ Since there are many other users of the s/w apart from yourself there is a commercial interest in keeping the s/w alive and supported.
+ COTS s/w usually bunch together the most often used features into a single package with same use and feel.

- COTS/Application software may not suit all your needs.
- Since source-code is usually not available you cannot tweak the software to satisfy the quirks of your project.
- Custom software is much more costly as you may be the only customer and the development cost cannot be spread across a wider audience, as is the case with COTS.

Application s/w r designed to make work easy even for those who dont have much knowledge of operating computer.
They r more user friendly and having a good graphical interface that helps the user to do there work efficiently, effectively and faster.

if u want disadvantages w.r.t system s/w then ..
Application s/w occupies more memory, and r slower in execution then system s/w. Application s/ws r designed to perform a specific task.. such as word processing, imaging, playing songs/movies etc etc.
Application s/w r for general users while system s/w r for systemsto improve systems working or to interact with system/machine ..

i for my area use COMODO internet protection (unfastened version) and it works fairly properly. because of the fact the different answer indicated, the enable/deny popups can get previous yet your going to get that with each internet protection application to three extra desirable or lesser quantity as there is no thank you to categorise all of the classes in life so it has to ask you some questions now and lower back. in basic terms an aside: you need to no longer place self belief in a single application to capture each little thing, its sturdy to have an internet protection application (including COMODO), and and antivirus application or 2 on precise of that. My philosophy for pc protection has consistently been protection in intensity, they have a small probability of having previous one, yet very practically no probability of having previous 2 or extra, and after being a computing device consumer for over a decade (while i'm no longer utilising linux) i'm nonetheless virus unfastened.
