two possibilities: go with sailing ship on a island with person i like a lot. For sail, drink the saturday eve on the island. OR 30th birthday of a good friend of me, but sure my ex-boyfriend will be and i'll have to refrain from hitting him.
What would you choose: a good thing for you(sail) or good for your friend (birthday)?

If it's a good friend then you should definitely be there at her 30th birthday party. It's a milestone in your life...turning 30 and I think her feelings would be hurt if you blow her off for a guy. Maybe you and this guy can do the island thing another weekend. Your friend will only have 1 30th birthday. I know it will be a hard decision because the sailing sounds like a really fun day but I think you should do the right thing this time. You have to take care of your friendships.Ignore the ex....it will drive him crazy.

Be a good friend. The thirtieth birthday is special. Wouldn't you want your closest friends to show up for your thirtieth? You can go on a sailing date another time. Ignore your ex.

Depends on who invited you first. You can't be in 2 places at the same time, one of the offers will have to be declined. If you were invited to go to the b-day party first, ignore the ex, concentrate on making the day special for your friend.

once you're incredibly busy and can't save, then get a $50 present card in a save she incredibly likes or a food market like Vons, Albertson, Safeway. yet, i'm fantastically specific she'll like something you provide her as long as you come back to her social gathering! ;D
