In all probability South Africa would win. South Africa would put West Indies to rest with a hefty score of 258. Australia still remembers the defeat at the hands of SA even after scoring 434. I find SA is the best well-knit team and all its players are contributing their bit. Today Gibbs fired too. And in the final Graham Smith is most likely to perform.
Having said that, Australia is a hard nut and McGrath has bowled exceedingly well. It would be a nice final to watch.

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties, nothing can be predicted for certain about the outcome of a tournament in advance. Many of those who have made predictions about the semi finalists and finalists in ICCChampions Trophy 2006 have burnt their fingers as no one may have predicted that West Indies will make to final.
Having reached the final, West Indies will try their best to retain the Trophy. On the Other hand, Australis will try their best to win the ournament for the first time. It will be a tough match and whoever plays better on 5th November will win the Trophy. That is the only prediction which can be made at this point of time.

West Indies deserves to be the ICC champions two times in a row as they play a game of teamwork which was lacking for more than 10yrs.Now, Brian Lara has come into good form and
the leadership has been retained.

i think it is quiet unpredictable who is going to win the championship
it can be aus since they have never won this tournament and they want to win very desperately and they perform well when there is a big challenge
it can be west indies because they want to defend the trophy that they had won the last time and this might probably be lara's last champions trophy and may be his last show in india
it can be south africa because they are the worlds no.2 team and dont want to lose out a chance of being the no.1
but i'll go with australia

I dnt think the aussies are gonna get it because this year they have lost the close games where pressure has come down on them. West Indies can and will take it they play the right mixture of offensive and defensive strategies. Theyplay positive cricket and i think australia is slowly sliding out of the world cricket throne. Next years worldcup will tell. The teams to replace them will most probably be 1 South Africa or 2 West Indies

I think this time South Africa will go away with the trophy. Australia already in finals, in today's match South Africa already got upperhand than West Indies. In final South Africans will capitalise their last win against Australia, a world record chase !!!
