it depends... define master?
I ask for clarity, because definitions of "master" are subjective based on what one considers master to represent.
often in bdsm relationship, the submissive one can actually be the one in control, and in other dynamics, there can be an equal exchange happening, where each has equal control of themselves and each other through submission and domination, even if one is a static top, and the other a static bottom.
So, if master meant that one had the most power, then it could be true for the above scenario, but it could also not be true if the top does not hold unequal amounts of power with the surrendering bottom. This dynamic can happen if the top realizes the bottom is giving the top their power, and could just as easily remove it, in this way, a bottom could have more power, or equal power to the top. so, it honestly depends on the definition of power, because if the bottom does have more power, even while submitting, would that make the bottom the master?
could they both be master, slave to one another?
I think that is about how it works ^_~

not necessarily. it depends on if that's the goal. usually the master/slave scene incorperates a lot of BDSM and usually the bottom is taking orders and being humiliated in some manner (just as slaves would be). There's also the daddy/son scene in which an older man and a younger man are partnered together. Or the bottom could be whats called a "nelly bottom." thats someone who just REALLY likes getting fu*ked.

It depends if it is a BDSM relationship, if it is understood as such by both parties, and if it is a long term relationship (more than a 2 night stand;-) )
