I would try in vitro if you don't agree with his way of living. This way if something happens with you and him you will not be connected to him for the rest of your life. Good luck!

Normally in IVF you need to get the sperm from somewhere. If you don't want your boyfriend to the father and you are planning on going to a sperm bank, then you better have a lot of money. Most insurance providers don't cover a lot the procedures needed for IVF. Deciding and going through with IVF takes up a lot of time and money. You have to be willing to go to the doctors two to three times a weeks for blood work and internal ultrasounds. You also have to be willing to give yourself injectable meds or have your boyfriend help. My doctor won't perform IVF on someone in less the are married or are in a commented relationship and you may run into this in your area. Good luck with whatever you decide.

your 40 you should be at the place in your life were BS is not tolerated if you are having problems with the bf don't make him your baby's father because it's going to be nothing but trouble between you 2 and an innocent baby will be in the middle of it. Maybe you should talk to him and let him know that in order for you guys to have a baby yall have to come to an agreement before anything gets started.

I agree with the others. If you aren't commited with your boyfriend then you need to seriously rethink what you are wanting to do. Having a baby isn't easy these days when you don't have a stable relationship. So work on that first and then tell him that you would really like to have a child with him, see what he says. cause this isn't only your choice.

I would say have it on your own with no BF. Since he has issues-do you really want him in your life for the next 18 or so years? And what if the child inherits his issues?

If you have issues with your boyfriend's life style, this is no time to be thinking about bringing a baby into the world. All you will be doing is exacerbating your problems.

If your not committed to the relationship and have varying views you might be smart not to have a baby with the person.
