Sounds like the Hood piece from a CHEVY Belaire. Might be a an Oldsmobile or Pontiac too. Look up 50's era GM cars.

each and every cellular has DNA and that's consisted of two strands tightly woven around one yet another. the subject that forestalls the two strands from breaking aside is termed a telomeric cap (that's random nucleotide sequences called nonsense codons. Codon is a three series of nucleotides that codes for amino acids eg. CUU is a amino acid called proline . A nonsense codon is one that doesnt code for any amino acid production) every time your cells divide a small series is lost there by way of lowering the steadiness of the cellular's DNA (in layman's words). this might ultimately lead do maximum of Ur cells' DNA starting to be volatile. and frequently while a mistake occurs in DNA the cellular will carry out vehicle cytolysis (cellular suicide) to dodge issues. So once you're previous maximum of ur cells telomeric caps would be low and that they are services to die while they conflict to divide.. Whats fairly interesting approximately this thought is the impact it has on evolution (because of the fact this occurs on the two meiotic besides as mitotic divisions. meaning that a species grows previous too until now it mutates.. yet thats a diverse tale)

a lot of cars in the 50"s had these, the wing span seems large to me, so it may have came from a very large car like the buick roadmaster. These can be very good collector items

Try the link below, but if I remember right...well, I prolly don't so try the link and have fun :-)
Most manufacturers used this motif at one point, at least US mfg anyway so you will need to look at images to find it for sure. Good luck and happy hunting!
