I am struggeling with the same thing! Summer!....I have taken an intrest to wat has been worn in the US and UK as they had their summer already and we r kind of at the start of ours. My problem maybe bigger than yours...lol...as I am a bigger girl but I try to look somewat "with it"...lol. Good Luck 2 us both...lol ( dont think I helped much) sorry :)

Hi, I'm from Adelaide, although we may not be considered the most fashionable city in Aus, I think I'm pretty 'with it'! I have been perusing the mags and shops and I'll tell you what I think is in for summer in Oz.
Pretty fifties style dresses with buttons, foral prints and cinched in waists.
Pinafore style dresses and skirts/shorts with suspenders or braces
Bubble skirts and dresses, but not too puffy. Choose one made from a heavier, floppy material and wear with heels, never with boots because they will make your legs look bigger when paired with a bubble.
Playsuits - these are shorts and a top joined together like this http://www.asos.com/images/inv/E/23/151/85760/Blue/image1l.jpg ...perhaps not in denim though - ew. I think you've gotta be brave to wear one of these but they can look really cute, my sister has one and it looks great.
Grecian style sandals like this http://www.shoezop.com/shoe/images/jessica-simpson-tyra-m.jpg are definitely in too.
High waisted skirts are also in, as seen in Cue stores, but they are very difficult to wear and only seem to suit mannequins and model size people... i.e. nobody ; )
Wooden and cork heels are also 'so hot right now'!
The best way to find out what's in this season is to grab a couple of magazines - my favourites are Shop til you drop which is great because it's just clothes - no stories and a tiny beauty section. And a lot of the clothes are totally affordable but there are also some designer things in there too. My other favourite is Russh, which is more high-end designer clothes but you can get some great style tips from it - most of the catwalk looks in there are actually good looking and wearable. Good luck - there are so many gorgeous clothes this season I'm sure you won't look boring and lifeless : )

Get some nice halters and shorts and sexy sandals. I live in flip flops in summer when I'm not barefoot :)!
