Last night, I got the tube home to the stop nearest my house. Then I got on the usual bus that takes me the rest of the way. However, the bus was on a detour, and nobody was informed of this by the driver. The bus dropped me off at another tube station (one which I had already passed whilst on the tube).

I lost my temper (it meant I was probably going to miss the Simpsons) and started arguing with the driver. She told me the reason for the detour was "there's too much traffic the other way". To which I called him a useless bastard. He took offence to this, so I called him a useless bastard who deserves to be hung, drawn and quartered. He took lots of offence to this, and told me to get off the bus. I did so (I was going to anyway) but decided to kick the crap out of the bus on the way out as well. He threatened to call the police, but there was no sign of them.

Would you have reacted in a similar manner, or are you one of those "musn't grumble" kind of people?

No, I think you were okay here. After all, buses are supposed to run on scheduled routes - who's ever heard of a bus changing its route because of traffic?

Besides, on a larger scale, its one of many examples of someone trying to make their own life easier by taking it out on you. You paid to be on the damn bus, why wouldn't you want to go where you were heading? And if he was going to do a change-up like that, why wouldn't he tell everyone?

I say good for you for not just laying down and taking it. There are far too many sheep these days.

ANYTIME, you lose your temper you have already lost. I am not saying that I have never lost mine either but you learn to control your emotions or they control you.
Any time you negotiate in business, If one party loses their cool or temper, the other party has the upper hand. For example look at Athletes, Agents and team owners. Say an athlete plays marginally well, He isn't a superstar but he is a solid member of the team and does his job. What happens if he gets into an altercation in his off time. Usually this will reflect in any new negotiations of his contract.
Having the benefit of a few yeas of wisdom, I would have gotten the bus drivers name, badge or license number and written a wonderfully scathing letter about how discourteous and unprofessional that she had been whilst transporting you and the other passengers. I would have posted it to her immediate supervisor and then copied the local newspaper and maybe even written to a TV station or two.
You want to shine a light on an injustice, not just sit there and shout about it. Nothing cockroaches hate worse than shining a spotlight on their activities.

Dear...That was quite a ordinary day for over working minds that are actually the great minds that are bringing a change in the modren world but unluckily the material and security setting is not all ours in small and tiny affairs. Anger anxiety is worldwide effected as we see the big decision makers have resorted to fighting amongst both home and abroad. The smaller countries are victim of civil wars and so are the bigger ones.
Sameway we share split decisions since our mind cannot get feedback of the correction we imagine. It is better not to force our personalities on affairs except notes and blogs because the publics are very weakened as crowds of millions come out to support affairs that governments give a 'devil may care 'look at. The producers of modren world are however working and we should not nestle one one side of body and put equal wieght on both sides in bed and remember what thoughts came on what side and know about left and right.

Life is too short. You not only created stress in your own life but in someone elses, too. Is that worth it? That poor bus driver is probably working to earn enough money to take his wife to her chemotherapy and back home on time to feed his invalid mother. His bank account is probably short due to the tremendous costs of his own kidney dialysis that he does 3 hours each day while trying to fit in the time to visit and pray over his comatose son who got bit by a rabid dog while trying to save the family dog, which invariably cost their 9 year old pet to lose both legs. And then , YOU come along. All because you wanted to get home to watch The Simpsons. Gheesh. Remember...no matter how bad you have it...someone else in life is far worse. Treat everyone like it is their last day on earth.

I would have been very pissed off too. However work smarter not harder! Rather than abusing the driver and kicking the bus (which was probably only momentarily satisfying) formaly complain to the bus company and keep complaining until you get a result.

no not like you at all:i can see why you got angry, but did you not notice the driver taking a detour?
You and your big attitude could have gone over and ask why the bus does not take the usual route?
And you have decided to get of earlier:so you are one of those idiots who just wait and see.And then explode:you have bad manors:Mr.

If I started grumbling like a weirdo about something, I would look like a big fool. Anyways it's Freedom of Speech isn't it?

well, if the bus driver didn't tell you that he/she was on a detour, then you have the right to argue back
