I have 4 children (age 6-15) and I would like a tutor to spend 3 hours with them every day after school to help with their homework, especially languages (french/german). I am interviewing a languages graduate for the position. How much should I offer to pay him per hour / per day ?

Just a word of warning. Just because a person is a language graduate does not give any indication that that person has the ability to teach the language. You need to ask the applicants whether they have an additional teaching qualification.
Also, for the security of your family, you MUST ensure that the person you employ has been CRB checked.
(Rates for an appropriately qualified person are usually about £30 per hour.)

I would offer about £10 per hr total of £30.
This is because they are a graduate, how long have they been teaching for?
Also I would ask for a CRB Discloure as they are working with children, this should be no older than 3 months.

Roughly about £20 to £30 per hour, depending on the tutor and level of expertise needed!

I know of an NQT charging £15 for individual tutoring, given the range in ages, and the variety of subjects you're hoping to be covered with 3 children I would think this might be reasonable

I think it will vary based on where you stay. It should be between £8/- to £20/- per hour. This is equal to between £14k to £36k p.a. salary. If there are multiple pupils at one go, then the rates per hour will increase by average 10% extra per child. So expect to pay between 20 to 25% extra over the standard rate for 1 child.

Going rate is around £30 + per hour. (3 hours after school every day!!!???) This is way too long, you'll find they can't concentrate for this length of time after a day at school. I bet they'd get as much out of one hour say 2 x weekly. Honestly.
