Hello....

I hope you find the following information answers your question.

I have found the online manual to the Dr Who Sonic Screwdriver here: http://www.character-online.com/instruction/drwho/SonicScrewdriver%20Instr.pdf

On page 2 of the manual it states:
I N STALLING BATT E R I E S
THE SONIC SCREWDRIVER REQUIRES 3 X AG13- TYPE
BATTERIES (NOT INCLUDED) TO OPERATE. WHEN FIRST
USING THE SCREWDRIVER, MAKE SURE TO INSTA L L
FRESH NEW BATTERIES RIGHT FROM THE STA RT, AS THIS
WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST PERFORMANCE. GENTLY LEVER
OFF THE CAP FROM THE EXTEND/RETRACT BUTTO N.
INSTALL THE BATTERIES INTO THE SONIC SCREWDRIVER
AS SHOW N, ENSURING THE CORRECT POLARITY, THEN
GENTLY SNAP THE CAP BACK ONTO THE TOP OF T H E
EXTEND/RETRACT BUTTON (SEE FIG. 1). SHOULD T H E
SCREWDRIVER FAIL TO OPERAT E , CHECK T H AT T H E
BATTERIES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY.

There is a picture in the manual that will help you with this.

Good Luck

CH

Okay first every child has heard of the human centipede so many say that they've watched it when they got freaked by the trailer. It's not suitable for a child of 10 it's an 18 for a reason. And it may affect your child's mental health state and development more than you may think. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch it let alone a 10 year old

My son has one,and it was a nightmare!you have a little grey button that slides up and down? remove that grey button and you will find a screw underneath it,its really small and fidley.unscrew it and then it should slide apart and reveal the battery compartment!make sure u put batteries in right way round also or it wont work!!good luck doctor

I'd like you to know more about the screwdriver, not just fixing the batteries.
