Spontaneous human combustion (SHC) is the alleged burning of a person's body without a readily apparent, identifiable external source of ignition. The combustion may result in simple burns and blisters to the skin, smoking, or a complete incineration of the body. The latter is the form most often 'recognized' as SHC. There is much speculation and controversy over SHC. It is not a proven natural occurrence, but many theories have attempted to explain SHC's existence and how it may occur. The two most common explanations offered to account for apparent SHC are the non-spontaneous "wick effect" fire, and the rare discharge called static flash fires. Although mathematically it can be shown that the human body contains enough energy stored in the form of fat and other tissues to consume it completely, in normal circumstances bodies will not sustain a flame on their own.

Im not sure whether this phenomenon exists but according to what i learnt abt it from National Geographic Channel, it is process through which a human suddenly starts charring from within and then suddenly bursts into flames until what remains of that human is just ashes. Back in the centuries, according to some reports, there were a few cases when people just burst into flames and died. However, the cases were very rare.

Personally I dont believe in this bcuz it just doesnt make sense biologically.

There is no such thing as spontaneous human combustion - spontaneous human combustion means that people catch fire without apparent external influence.

People have caught fire through drying out by a heat source, then combusting.

Human flesh is quite oily, so may burn easier than that of other animals.

It is when the body spontaneoulsy ignites. Even know there may be no scientific evidence proving it (yet), there have been several hundred documented cases of it. Try searching for cases on Google, or there are a few in Wikipedia

Is not the jury still out on that? I'd be interested to know that myself.
