Hi I am considering IVF treatment and well I don't know a lot about it and I was wondering if there were any people out there who have had it or know a bit about it. All I know is how much it costs and that it is not garanteed to work. I really need some thought on this. Please help.

I just completed my first IVF cycle in October and it was successful. It is a very involved treatment which as you know costs a lot of money. But it's worth it if it works.

Each couple is different and your doctor will cater your treatment to your needs. Basically the treatment is as follows: You start by taking birth control pills to regulate your period and schedule your treatment with the lab's schedule. You will begin taking a nasal spray to stop your ovaries from producing. After you start your period, you will begin giving yourself a daily injection in your belly. You will visit your doctor probably every other day for an ultrasound and some blood work. After several days of shots, tests and visits when your follicles are the correct size, you will go in for your retrieval. You are put under IV sedation for the procedure. At the same time, your husband will give his sperm. They will make the embryos that day and you will be sent home to rest for the remainder of the day. One day before your transfer you will begin taking your progesterone shots. These are IM shots that go into your rear with a longer needle. Three days later (or five, depending on your doctor and treatment) you will return for the transfer. You will have a full bladder. They will insert a catheter into your uterus and guide the embryoes in by ultrasound. Afterwards you will remain on your back on an inclinded position (almost standing on your head) for about an hour. You will then be sent home to rest for at least one day. You will continue your progesterone shots. Twelve days later you go in for your blood pregnancy test.

It is a stressful time for both you and your husband both emotionally and physically. But if this is the way that your doctor recommends to get pregnant, then I wouldn't hestiate.

My husband and I tried for over 3 years. We did every treatment out there. Finally we tried IVF and it worked. Had it not worked though, I would have done it again in a heartbeat. Good Luck.

I had IVF, first they give you injections to make your ovaries release more eggs. When you are ovulating they remove these eggs from you, I had 13 taken, it could be more or less. Of course you will be a sleep so you wont know what's going on.

3-5 days later, they will put them back, normal 3 embryos it depends on how much the doctor thinks you can carry, i only had 2. You will be awake for this. It doesn't hurt, just feels funny.

Then you wait 2 weeks to have a test. You must follow the doctors orders, all rest, no sex and hope for the best.

Of course it isn't a guarantee that it will work, mine didn't, but it doesn't mean yours wont.

In vitro, meaning "in glass" (as opposed to in vivo, meaning within a human body) involves removing eggs from your ovaries, mixing them with the father's sperm in a petri dish, and, should embryo(s) form, tranferring them back to your uterus about five days later. Extra embryos can be frozen and transferred later. Typically, the mother is given medications to hyperstimulate her ovaries to produce more than the 1 ovum they normally output, although some clinics perform unmedicated cycles. Any given IVF procedure has about a 1 in 3 chance of success, though different practices have different success rates.

It's expensive and, in the US, typically not insured. The medications are generally unpleasant to take, must be injected, and some (Clomid) are associated with higher rates of cancer. That said, it has been a wonder procedure for thousands of infertile couples. Since it's pretty much only done by fertility specialists, call one up for a consultation. Ivf is very expensive and it is not garanteed to work. You have to be emotionally ready to take this step in your life. It will give you more stress! Ivf treatment is where the inject your husbands sperm into your uterus and hope to god it works. That's all I really know about it. You should talk to a fertility specialist to get all the details.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.

My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
