The only PERFECT human being was Christ- We should all strive to be that way even though we fall short it is a goal the faithful strive for so PERFECT= Christlike in my book!

Yes, everything is debatable and developed too .... so nothing is perfect. If anything is said perfect today, will not be tomorrow ... it will be altered, developed further ... So, perfection is just for a moment or contemporary ... not for ever ... even social values or ethics .. political or any philosophy ... everything. anything that is not achieved remains perfect coz no one has done it or advanced it. but that too will go some day.
Perfection is only a hypothesis or supposition based on that day's standards. Tomorrow???

it is to explain imperfect. Aristotle liked to talk of Virtues as hypothetical examples that give direction to efforts but are never fully obtained except by the various gods and goddesses that exemplify them. it is a target.
so think of perfection as a target but never achieved. to be moving in that direction is acheivement enough. it sets a standard

Jesus is perfect! And becuase we fall short of him we can use the word perfect to compare.

it's used to bother foreign students with crazy rules.....Present PERFECT Continuous, Present PERFECT etc.........

... well in order to see where we are standing we have to find th limits or ends of things...

it's like good or bad.. noone and nothing is 100% but it helps us define where we are betweeb the twoo meanings...

so for me, it is the same thing..

its like an aim or goal towards which one can rise........its like the sky, when we say sky is the limit, we know that we cannot reach the sky ..........
