Jamaa El-Fna is a must especially in the evenings, you can eat at one of the "stalls" in the square the atmosphere is amazing.

Just outside Marrakech is Ourika, heading slightly up into the mountains. There's a waterfall there and some great restaurants right by the river, worth a visit!

There's plenty to do in Marrakech I am sure your time there will fly by. There's so many places I can't even remember the names but if you ask at reception when you're there the people are so helpfull. Also if you ask you are more likely to be told about the "not so touristy places" that are worth a visit!!!

If you do decide to visit other towns be sure to choose somewhere close to Marrakech. The main towns are quite far apart and you would end up spending most of your holiday travelling (as you are only going for 5 nights). To give you an idea - from Marrakech to Agadir takes 4 hours on a bus.

I love Morocco especially Marrakech, if you ever return to Morocco be sure to go for 2 weeks and visit more places!

There's a lot in Marrakech, the souqs will take a full day, also navigate the souqs to get to the Museum of Marrakech, and the neighbouring Ben Yousef mosque & school, truly beautiful.

Take a walk out to the Menara Gardens & have lunch in these beautiful surroundings. They also had a laser show in th evenings when I was there last November.

The Koutoubia mosque is unmissable, and take a chance to look round the grounds.

Take a caleche ride too.

Don't miss Les Jardin Majorelles in the new rown, truly breathtaking design, and architecture. Previously owned by Yves Saint Laurent.

Spend the evenings watching Djemaa el Fnaa come to life, water sellers, drummers, snake charmers, herbalists & fortune tellers are in abundance & much much more. Have dinner or lunch there & just watch everything!!!

There is plenty to do, I loved it & would love to go back, have a great time!!!

Dont listen to those loosers that answered before me, if i wanted souqs and camels i can watch the discovery channel. The clubbing is really nice there, Marrakech is a night city, and the parties r wild, there is the Pacha the largest club in Africa, everyone from Sinclaire to Tiesto have had gigs there, there r two realy nice casinos as well as Paradise, a magnificant club, the women there are into exploring sex so you wont have trouble getting laid, if u are ugly there are prostitutes, if you are gay, the gay community is outgoing there, though homosexuality is still illegal "officialy" there are many thieves in the lower areas, especialy the markets, if you want a good hotel stay at the Royal Mirage (not deluxe), it is well run, and near all the major party scenes, also it is very filled, and not with the typical camera hugging loosers, u will have fun.

Hi,

Marrakech is a fascinating place - particularly the souqs and djema el fna (a main square that becomes a hive of activity in the evenings). After a while though the novelty wears a bit thin. Travel by coach and train is very cheap - get out and visit other places - Essouira is particularly nice and great if you like seafood.

I've been to Marrakech. My husband is Moroccan and we took a horse carriage ride around the city. There is a area where you can ride camels. There are nice hotels there also. We drove up into the mountains and if you go far enough you can ski.

hi Patti, sure this has been a warm and hard summer season in Marrakesh. maximum persons of persons don't have AC. Even the financial places who've AC, they do no longer understand the belief and depart doors open all day so their company are continually warm. This Ramadan has been very heat. 118 being the utmost I remember with ninety 8 at nighttime. some cooler days yet average, a warm month. with reference to the non secular ingredient. God does not burden a soul with something it may no longer shield. So the fasting rather everyone seems to be two categories. The ill that are exempt from fasting. The healthy that are required to rapid. For the healthy ones, it is going without asserting that precautions would desire to be taken in a climate like Marrakesh. (staying interior the coloration, eating plenty the day earlier, delaying the suhoor and eating water earlier break of day). for many persons, this occurs and not making use of a glitch. the only ones that rather go through are those that paintings outdoors (shape workers, city crews, distributors, drivers without AC, ...and so on). many countries (such with the aid of fact the Gulf international places in basic terms halt all shape interior the summertime time and turn to nighttime time shifts). i understand that it is the case even in places like Arizona, Texas or New Mexico. For those that finally end up with kidney harm, it is with the help of their recklessness particularly than fasting. maximum persons rapid without issues and that improves their wellness as that's a plenty needed smash for the digestive gadget and the soul.

It is an amazing place. There are local travel agents who will arrange trips for you. We had one into the Atlas Mountains and visited a water mill which ground flour. It was a great day.
