I think we are fantastic! Most of us still beleive in the "Great" part of Britain. There is a minority that like to spoil things but if the judicial system was better I think the minority would be even smaller. I base my opinion on the fact that I have lived in the UK all my life (apart from a small spell in Spain) alongside my fellow English. Thumbs up for England.

I'm Scottish but moved to London 8 years ago. English people do tend to be oblivious to the rest of the UK but not as much as Americans are obvlious to the rest of the world. English people doesn't mean anything in London - no one is from here. There are muslims, jews, Hindus and christians all living together and they all consider themselves English.

Do you mean English particularly or do you mean British? There is no such thing any more as a true English person. We're all British now. I have lived in England all my life but somewhere in my ancestry we have Irish blood and I bet you couldn't find someone who is pure English, even the royal family are German and Greek!

I lived in England for a couple of years and I found the english to be......usually fairly nice although alot were very rude and obnoxious towards me. They would laugh and make Scottish and Irish jokes whenever I was close by. I hated living there and was thankful when my job finally moved back to Scotland. Although I did meet some very nice people and still have friends there.
If you went with the typical image it would probably be someone who drinks tea all day and is a bit snooty/snobby.
She/he is very english!, I heard this alot in England! Usually towards someone who was very snooty and stuck up!
