In my culture, it is 1 and a half year. It depends on culture actually. But if you're a modern bride, I think better less than a year but not quite soon -- so you can manage your wedding perfectly.

give yourself the amount of time that is needed to plan for and save for the marriage you want, without rushing and panicking and getting to the point you want to rattle someone's head off...

give your self a year max two... after that maybe something is not right...
