Yes, it will definitely work.
One tip if you're using a lot of British electrical stuff on the continent - instead of changing the plugs on anything, just buy a four- or six-way extension, then change the plug on the end of that. Now you can plug in your British plugs into the extension, and plug that straight into the German mains!

O focurse it'll work. The only 2 issues would be the plug, which you already know about, and the keyboard, which will be laid out in english anad therefore wont have umlauts. This is as easy as getting a new keyboard.
