People on answers should at least be made to reveal their email address as part of answers seeing so many so called anonymous answers are insulting or just plain warped.Stand up and be a humane,or stay in the back and shut up if you have nothing of any value to say.

no, i do not think so as there would be all kinds of exotic spam and other junk magically appearing in their in boxes faster than what it does now. plus i don't want some weirdo getting hold of my e-mail address and pestering me day and night. plus it gives people the chance to voice opinions without the fear of being slandered

Do you think people should also post their address and social security numbers and bank accounts as well...??

Why would you need it?... should be something someone would want to post of their own accord....

Not required!!!

I see a future in that of a bombardment of bad emails from unfriendly posters..... Especially if they don't like what you've got to say and the article is closed to new answers.

Can you say "SPAM"

I answered a question the other day, and the asker emailed and harassed me all night. That was fine, but the trick was, I couldn't respond. So, yes, I think the e-mail should be available, but hidden. If someone contacts you and it is inappropriate, then we should have the option to block. I was not pissed because she contacted me, but that I couldn't speak in my defense.

Anonymity has made lions out of cowards.

Certainly, Yahoo could set this up as a requirement.

i agree with ginger..
I think Q& A websites are for people to have there say and express themselves (freedom of speech so to say). Just ignore the ignorant, dont let it bother you they are at the end of the day achieving what they wanted and that was to get a rise out of you.

This was a free country when I last looked. Rather be insulted than told what to do by neo-fascists.

Only people that are ashamed of themselves don't want to look in other people's eyes.
