The advantage is that the doctor will be able to make another payment on his shiny new Lexus.

Otherwise there are no advantages unless you like having a very pained penis for a week then very sensitive one for about a month after that. That is about the last thing you will feel because after that the head dries and looses most of its feelings (except for pain, which you will feel, if it gets injured)

Having sex with a woman you can feel her breasts against your chest, lower down you feel belly against belly and legs entertwined with legs, in between you feel like you are thrusting into the air. After an hour or so if you haven't been able to dry her out enough to get the friction you need to orgasm, she asks you to get off and finish your self by hand. Then guess what, for some reason it will be a quite a while before she will let you any where near her!

You do not loose all feeling in the glans (head of the penis) however; if you do a lot of walking, running, cycling, or climbing the rubbing against your clothing will still feel like you are rubbing the tip with sand paper (at least it still does for me 50 years after being circumcised).

As a male that was circumcised 50 years ago at the age of 6, I say there is NO GOOD REASON FOR CIRCUMCISION! If your doctor says you need to be circumcised GET ANOTHER DOCTOR! Competent doctors can treat the rare problems of an uncircumcised penis without surgery, INCOMPETENT DOCTORS CIRCUMCISE!

THE MOM mentioned injuries to the foreskin, but did you realize that in the absense of the foreskin the glans sustains more injuries. As painful as having the foreskin caught in a zipper would be, catching the glans in a zipper would be like getting your eyeball caught in one!

Advantages Of Circumcisions

As a guy,i would like to refute all these lies about it causing you to lose sexual feeling there. That is the one spot that is super sensitive, especially the decades after a circumcision. The fact they did cut it makes the skin there so much more sensitive than even before. Mine is cut and sexual feeling there is too much sensation,at times. It feels like a billion feathers tickling all at once. It's so sensational that I can't imagine being able to even stand anything more. Many times it is far too much to handle. I am cut,and I am very glad I am. It looks so much better. Women are usually far more attracted to a penis that has a face, instead of that gross flab of skin covering it. Say what you want, but I love my circumcised penis, and so has every female I have been with. In my experience with females, from their perspective, the 2 things that ruin a penis for them is 1. Foreskin hiding the glans 2. Excessive Hair. If it is circumcised and shaved, they love it. Otherwise it is like looking at a dirty, hairy anus. That is what I can say from my experiences anyway. Now,for getting it done as an adult...I personally would cringe at the thought of that much pain for that long. I guess that is why it is most times done at such an early age that the male will never remember the pain. I do respect other opinions though. However, that is mine.

A lot of people, like the poster above, will feed you so called information about circumcision preventing HIV and STD's, and relieving Phimosis, which is tight foreskin.
First of all, STD's are prevented by Condoms or abstinence. The US has the highest circ rate in the world (55% in the US, compared to 15% worldwide), yet we still have a VERY high rate of STD infection...hmmmm can anyone put two and two together??
Phimosis can be treated with creams and gently massage. It's also VERY rare for a man to need a medical circ in adulthood for any reason.
As far as infection, women get infections as well, and we don't remove their labia to prevent it.
ANd hygeine- well it's much harder to clean an infant girl than it is to clean an infant boy, especially one who is not circumcised and whose foreskin is still fused to the glans. The foreskin doesn;t retract until age 2 or later, cleaning it is like cleaning a finger, and the foreskin keeps infection OUT.
ANd finally, the "women like it better" argument. So?? I like men with piercings, does that mean I'm going to have my son peirced because of my own personal preferences?? That's sick.
HIS BODY, HIS CHOICE!!

It may never "cure". Your son may be scarred for life because you removed a functional organ permanantely. He may even suffer from penile necrosis, severe infection, severe bleeding, removal of his penis, or death.
Having a foreskin will cause none of the above.

Many say it is more hygienic since it is easier to wash and keep clean .If you are going to have a circumcision it will take a couple of weeks to a month to heal . The stitches will dissolve in about a week to 10 days and within 4 to 6 weeks time all bruising should be gone.

Circumcision relieves the pain caused by a foreskin that is so tight it interferes with the retraction of the skin either under normal conditions or with erection, it aids in healing after repeated infections of the foreskin- though that is usually treated by proper hygiene-, and prevents getting the foreskin caught by the zipper if you go commando. There are very few medical reasons for the procedure, and almost none exist in infants or young children. Adult males usually opt to have it done either because of the tightness issue, or because a female partner has requested it. The procedure in anyone over the age of a few days is not a pleasant one to recover from. It must be done under a general anesthetic. The doctor will make an incision all the way around the penal head, just underneath, to remove the excess foreskin. Then it will be sutured in place with absorbable sutures, most of the time- though some surgeons use regular sutures which must be removed in about 5 days time. The first few days are the most difficult and painful. Patients are encouraged to avoid erections at all costs, and are usually given ammonia capsules to break and sniff to quickly reduce one if it occurs. And they usually do happen, at least in the mornings, in most adult men. It will stay tender for at least a week afterwards, possibly longer depending on how quickly the skin heals. Urinating is difficult the first few days, as it tends to burn. The suture line is often coated in an antibiotic ointment to help keep things moist the first day or so, and afterwards it is left alone to dry and heal.
Complications of the surgery are bleeding, tight foreskin if too much skin is removed, keloid scarring that causes painful intercourse or erections, delayed healing from broken sutures, and infection.
It is not a surgery to be taken lightly. Although a majority of men in the US and Israel are circumcised at birth, it is not medically indicated unless a problem exists. The surgery will need to be performed by a urologist, and you are usually hospitalized for 3-5 days afterwards, though there are some places which will release you the next day. If you are doing it for cosmetic reasons, most medical insurance will not pay. If this is a surgery you are considering, you need to discuss it further with the urologist. He can give you a better idea of the healing times and prospective problems for you.

Please don't pay attention to the anticirc point of view. They distort the question and don't tell the truth. There are many advantages: helps to prevent the HIV infection carried by a female in female to male intercourse; first line of defense against sexually transmitted diseases, the only exception being chlamydia (infection of the urethra); best treatment for tight foreskin, infection under the foreskin; simplified hygiene, one washing a day like the rest of your body; no loss of sexual sensitivity, in fact an enhancement of that--with full shaft sensitivity, frenum (without tearing), and glans. Women prefer it. It is cultural and religious in the USA and in other parts of the world, e.g., Philippines, South Korea, and all Muslim countries and Israel. Women like it for oral sex and for increased staying power. In an infant, the healing takes place in a week. In an adult, about 2 weeks. Many report going to work the next day after the usual outpatient procedure with local painkiller. Procedure is painless. Some discomfort or pain afterward, controlled with oral painkillers. Advice: go for it. You will never regret it anymore than any plastic surgery. I never have. My wife says it looks so good that it turns her on especially the larger glans.

There aren't any. Unless you're willing to give up something like half your sexual sensation because some shallow twit thinks mutilated penises look cuter.
