I dont have a pc and some of the providers i have spoken to say i need a pc to get broadband.

ANY reputable ISP, Look into who has the most stable
links for your area, BT are generally good, but i use
NTL and have no problems...

The Bigger 'Pipe/bandwith' you have the better, ESPECIALLY if your going to use the pc at the same time! (Nothing SPECIAL about the Xbox, its still just TCP/IP Packets over cable!)

Well, I guess you don't need a computer to play Xbox, now that I think of it. If you're paying for it, I don't see why they wouldn't install it for you. I don't know about Xbox, but I have Roadrunner, and it's too slow to play PS2 with.

best bet is btyahoo all the others provide a poor service for xbox live

i have homechioce and it seems to work fine with the box.
