how can i access windows xp if the pass word is lost?

Question

i bought a computer from a friend who has split and when i try to boot i get his name but no pass word please help.Iam not computer savy and I have been at this for two days most of the websights i visit for free help are scarry

Try accessing his computer via safemode,

1) The moment computer is switched on press F8 repeatedly until you get a menu with 1-8. One of the options is "Safe Mode"
2) When windows finally loads go to Start>Control Panel
3) On control panel go to "Users"
4) Delete his account and create your own new one
5) Make sure you set your account as an "administrator"
6) The computer is now yours! bwahahahahahaha

u want access the winXP with out knowing th epass word of the login account
1)just boot your Pc in the safe mode and their u got the inbuilt administrator the win XP on which there is no password. from their u logon the win Xp and then create ur own account because that user has the right because he is computer administrator
2)if this also not works then mail me i willl send u the script from where u can logon on the account with knowing the pass word of the computer administrator.

hi, try log in as the administrator, when the computer goes onto the welcome screen, press ctrl + alt + del and in the usernaem try admin and a password that was setup when the computer was bought. the other way is to log into safe mode, when starting up your computer keep tapping f8, and then log into safe mode see if that works, im not sure, but give it a go

remove ur friends name and put ADMINISTRATOR
dont put any password
u will pass through login screen
