Ganpatipule is a sleepy hamlet in the Ratnagiri district of southwest Maharashtra in India, around 375 km off Mumbai by road. Untouched by commercialism, the pastoral beauty of the village is enhanced manifold by the six kilometers of virgin beach on the breathtaking Konkan coastline. The locals believe that Ganapatipule is blessed.

Yeah I have travelled by car from Mumbai To Ganpatipule via HathKhamba at Ratnagiri and also via Nivli Village after Nivli Ghat. The road from Panvel-Raigad and upto Mahad is horrible. Our Indica Radial Tyres got very worn out. From Mahad onwards upto Ratnagiri, the road is ok but not smooth. After the monsoon season, they have not done any road maintenance and so all the potholes are still there. Even on the ghats like kashedi ghat between poladpur and khed, the road is full of potholes. Only in some sections they have levelled the road with mud and clay as a temporary solution. You can go by road if you like but get ready for a bumpy ride. The only other option is to go by train to Ratnagiri and by bus or private vehicle from Ratnagiri to Ganpatipule.
