They're called books, you can get them at the library, a book store, or Amazon. I don't recommend horror since you're working alone. Alternatively, you could write your own book if you're talented in that way.

Mercedes Lacky and Anne McCaffrey are good for night reading. I like Patricia Keneally Morrison but her books are hard to find. Rachel Caine is a good author. William Gibson is fantastic, the Matrix moves are based on his books. Lois McMaster Bujold is great. The Black Company series by Glenn Cook is good. Lots of stuff out there. Read comic books if you don't like regular books, but read something. I love Laurell Hamilton and Anne Rice but vampires might not be the best subject for the late shift.

We had those foam or whatever tiles on the cealing and I would draw on them..really involved pictures, but I had premission to do it 'cuz the coustomer couldnt see it. I also would throw pencles into them via highschool detention. Barring that I'd say bring a book or mag and make like little collages, just make sure to clean the mess up. I once covered the wall under the desk with them, on a long night. The day lady loved them! I also had a magnetic poem set..actually I got 5 diffrent ones and I would play with those on the metal flieing cabinet. those are fun, maybe you could just bring a book. I played with those little pocket pets for hours, and you can hide em quickly when someone walks in.
