Nov. 7th, not 8th.
You want to create a rule that people who watch and are influenced by political ads on TV should be prohibited from voting?
Clever. Not the most wonderful idea ever, because it's impossible to enforce, but it's a little bit clever.
Excellent answer, david. Thumbs up!

It would make no difference if everyone voted on November 8 since the election is held on Tuesday, November 7. I agree that people should educate themselves before they vote. We can only hope that an equal number of peole who did not study the issues will vote for and against each candidate or initiatives and their votes will cancel each other out.

It's not about "allowing" people to vote...that's a moot question, but your premise is important. People who don't know the candidates or issues should excuse themselves and let the other voters who follow these things decide the matter. It doesn't serve any useful purpose to vote just for the sake of voting! Whenever I come across unfamiliar candidates or issues, I skip that section and go to the next one.

Sure you should go vote. It makes the system look bad if you point out the fact that it isn't even worth the time it takes to vote. Fact of the matter is they could draw straws and get the same result. We'll never know who they are until they get in office anyways.

If you are a liberal please get out and vote on the 8TH. The rest of us will vote on election day which is the 7TH. I would say the education should start with yourself. Further, voting is a right not a priviledge. While I would hope that everyone would take the time to become informed, they still have a right not to be if they so choose.
