Hi Sarah...the best way to train a mouse is to use treats that it desires. Next is to have it learn how to follow a target (e.g. a small chopstick). Place the target a few inches in front of the mouse and when it touches the stick immediately reward it with a treat. Soon it will begin to associate the target with treats.

Here's a simple behaviour to teach your mouse:
Keep the rope close to the floor and plade treats at strategic points on the rope and slowly make the rope higher with only 1 treat at the end. Remember to try and keep your hands under the mouse incase it falls.

This is one of many ideas as any animal can learn to be trained new behaviours or what people like to call them "tricks".

You can not train a mouse! Mice have extremely short memories.

When you log off your computer just tell the mouse to stay....it should be there next time you log on.

Any animal can learn some things...even the ones with the smallest brains...
But...you will need lots of patience and perseverance...
And remember, he's not a dog...he probably won't "roll over and play dead"!
