If u regret something u did, u learn from your mistakes and next time u will probably think twice! If you think about doing something but u change ur mind, there will always be "what ifs" involved. The taught of not knowing what could have happened is far more worse than regretting something u know u did.

I think it is really better to regret what you have done than what you haven't. Firstly, you learn something from it. Like, you did something wrong, or you did something in a wrong way, or you did something without realizing about its possible outcome. You'll have an idea of what would be the outcome should such an action be repeated which you regret doing, therefore, you may decide to make it better next time or not repeat it at all.
While for the things you regret not doing, it's something you can't bring back and make amends. It's like an experience or incident that sometimes only happen once... and only happen in that particular moment where you could have done something to, for example, stop it from falling or happening. Example, you see a woman who's about to fall... you just stood there watching and thinking what you should do (worrying you might be the one to blame or maybe somebody else would grab her) while you know already that grabbing that person by her hand or shirt could most possibly prevent her from falling. Then she fell because you did nothing. It's rather a difficult regret than trying to do something, no?

Regretting something that was done and over won't bring time back but it sure can be altered in the future by ones actions. Regretting not doing something can be changed by adjusting circumstances to cause it to happen at the present. In both ways, neither situations are better than the other. To think before you leap helps to avoid both.

No use regretting on what you have done coz you did it in your fulll sense and there is no chance of regretting for what you haven't done coz u haven't done it yet. Stop thinking about regretting and start living.

Do you want to look back on your life and say: "I wish I had?" or "I'm gald I did?" You don't want to regret time wasted.

.....becasue you could have killed em...vs. putting them in the hospital. The broken ribs and nose will heal. So if they didn't die you couldn't regret their death, only the damage you did.
