I too have light skin, and you always have to make sure that you are wearing a light make-up, to make sure that bright coloured makeup is not "wearing YOU" instead.
Any colours you use need to be in "natural" tonings, dark brown & charcoal grey.
These colours also really make your eye colour stand out if you have blue/grey eyes.
If you use Blue - go for Teal colourways
If you use Green make sure it is a dark Olive colourway.
Pastel blue looks simply revolting, so please dont go there.
If you look at the fashion magazines you will see that the best models of the designer outfits, (not the makeup models) have a simple Charcoal/dark grey combined with skintone/nude eyeshadow to simply create "shadow & depth" around the eyes. This makes the eyes look really big and bright.
This is done by using a very fine line of charcoal eyeliner from the outside of the eye, two thirds into the eyes top & bottom.
Then put a fine layer of nude/skintone powder all over the eyelid, up to the eyebrow.
Then take a light dusting of the Charcoal / dark grey and brush it at the outside edge of the eye and up along the CREASE of the eye. Blend the dark well, so that it is subtle and not "panda bear eyes" This creates a "shadow" in the crease of the eye, while still leaving light tone on the lid and below the eyebrow.
Great big lashings of dark mascarra and dust some "ash blonde/grey" powder to darken your eyebrows to match this eye treatment.
Dusty Rose lip liner and a translucent lip gloss with a hint of warm pink colour, and you are all done.

Do you really mean the colour of eyes? Then nothing can be more beautiful than you natural eye colour.
If you mean eye shadow colour, be careful with green and blue, as they look a bit hard on fair skins. Do try them for a superfun Saturday night out, but stick to light brown, ivory colours, maybe light pink or any earthly shade you like as an everyday solution.

lighter shades such as MaryKay crystalline, hazelnut and lucky penny, with bronze eyeliner, or Tootie fruitie, hazelnut and sugar plum with a sable eye liner.
go to www.marykay.com and do the virtual make over. they have awesome products and can find a local consultant to help you, they are the best as that is what they are trained to do and love.

That is not a question of exactly what other people "like" or not. A person have to take many things into consideration, before jumping from one ending of the spectrum to the other. It helps to understand your colouring pens. Are you neutral, warm or awesome? The undertones in your skin will certainly compliment your hair

Emerald green with tiny flecks of violet and sunflower yellow would be a deliciously pretty eye color. =^..^=
