How would i go about getting the pc to play it?

Then maybe theres something wrong with disc !!!

could be your player does not recognise - r's or the format is wrong
stand alone dvd recorders use the raw format
also you need to finalize the disc before it will play on a pc

Have you tried wiping the disc with a alcoholic spirit that normally works for me

get a DVD Drive

do you have all in 1 dvd drive for all dvd.cds? if so use nero to use that dvd -r cd
