So many questions have people saying that the asker is rascist. What is your definition of rascism and is everyone rascist? Or do you think people have a right to offer an opinion that others may not like to hear?

Emily W - I understand people try to open others eyes, but are their eyes also closed to other ways of thinking? Some Muslims do not want to adopt alternative ways of living in the UK even though this is a Christian country. Is that fair?

Anyone is entitled to their opinion, racist or not. Just don't expect everyone to agree. People on here love to jump on the racist bandwagon and a lot simply don't read the question before putting their two pence worth in.

A racist is someone who believes that all persons of a particular race share common qualities, like stupidity or intelligence, great beauty, poor hygiene, or overactive sex drives. While that may be the person's opinion, it is still racist.

Do people have a right to share their racist opinions? I suppose so, but then others have the right to do their best to set the racist straight.

Is there a difference between being rascist and offering an opinion? You bet; most opinions are not racist.

I understand where you are coming from.
I am anti the EU. I passionately want England to be brought back under English rule. I am constantly being accused of being a BNP or Combat something or other supporter. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I do not hate European countries - I just do not want to be ruled by them or overrun by their people.
English people come in all colours and creeds. Just understand that Parliament rules (or should), the Queen is the head of the country, English is the national language and Protestant is the official religion.
However, we have been told by the 'thought police' that saying these things is racist. Lots of English people are now too frightened to speak their truth.

There is a difference between racism and opinion. Racism occurs when a statement made may cause offence to another reader. It doesn't necessarily mean that the reader has to be part of that race, but if the statement offends them, then it is racist.

You can offer an opinion based on facts or on your perception of the matter without causing offence to anyone. There's no need for anyone to demean or deride anyone else on YA. We are all different and that's what makes for interesting answers.

not if your opinion is racist. 'everyone is racist' is just something that ignorant racist people say to justify it. It just comes down the fact that if your opinion is a racist you are quite obviously ignorant so perhaps you should learn some things before you become so opinionated. No one wants to hear a racist opinion and offering one will devalue all of the other things you say.
Racism seems so silly:
Do you hate the sky for being black at night?
Do you hate the trees for being brown?
Do you hate the sun for being yellow?
Do you hate the clouds for being white?
Probably not...so why hate people based on their skin colour?

A racist opinion is when you say something about someones cultural background that may cause upset and hurt to those of that race and others.
It comes down to choosing your words very wisely when you give an opinion.
Sometimes we cant please everyone all the time and at the end of the day it is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but these days you have to be careful or you could be up with a lawsuit on your hands.

Being racist is being oppressive towards someone or a group of people - however offering an opinion can be racist if your opinion can be percieved to be oppressive. So there is a difference because an opinion and racism are totally different things, however an opinion can incorporate racism.

I guess everyone is a little wary of people who look different to them, however if you say 'anti' things about another race, you cant expect that other people wont be offended, and they have the right to say so. They are most likely trying to open that person's eyes to a different way of thinking.

Racism is an excessive belief in, or advocacy of the superiority of a given group of people or nation, whereas an opinion is a conclusion or judgement held with confidence, but falling short of positive knowledge.

if someone has a question about another race and genuinely wants to learn about another race .i think you should ask someone from that race face to face .and as long as you are respectful i really don't think most people would mind .we are all humans and we all love to talk about ourselves ..on a computer site good questions get lost with the bad ones .i personally think some people just come on here to stir up things and that's a way for them to get there rocks off.but in reply to you .a question asked in good faith with no intent to put down or insult .is not racist .but an opinion voiced to degrade or to cause as much racial conflict ,well what do you think
